Anthony Theobald Kayombo, 30, Tanzania – Our graduate of batch 2021-2022
“My biggest dream is to become a very great and most famous and successful farmer in Africa and across the world”
Anthony completed his Horticulture degree at Sokoine University of Agriculture; during his time in the program, Anthony was trained on a citrus farm in the Southern part of Israel, and he led his research project on “Damages in citrus ”.
With his return Anthony started his farm and now is growing crops, mainly vegetables and fruits. He adds “Professionally- I have learnt different Advanced farming technologies and advanced skills both in the field and also in the class. I have learnt and gained more farming knowledges both theoretically and practically and also mentally- I gained the commitment of Israel’s people in agriculture Production.”
As part of his professional growth, Anthony is also in contact with his agriculture economics and enterprise lecturer, Mrs. Porat, who is guiding and assisting him with his financial choices in regard with his new established business.
Kayombo shares that his all-time biggest dream is to become the biggest farmer in Africa, to assure food security to his region, country and continent in total. He explains that his time in the program has pushed him towards his dreams and that he is now closer to achieving his set goals, “Agrostudies is a very good program that help me more professionally and mentally to achieve my goals in agriculture Production and enterprise. Really I’m so proud to be part in this program and I will be forever grateful.”
