Meet our graduate!

Soro Tenena Mamadou – Ivory Coast – Our graduate of batch 2018-2019

When Soro Tenena Mamadou returned to Ivory Coast in November 2019, after his time at AgroStudies, his experience in Israel helped to define his immediate actions. Recently, an article was written about his expertise, telling his own story since he applied to the AgroStudies program till he became a very successful man in his country.

“I did my BTS professional studies at the countrywide Institute of Agricultural (INFPA) in Biglerville, which has a partnership program with AgroStudies in Israel. As I used to be one of the first-rated college students in Ivory Coast, I’ve been chosen to do a one-yr internship in Israel. It was an opportunity for me to study new principles and methods and to be able to manage advanced agricultural equipment which includes tractors, fertigation, sprinkler irrigation, drip system, and so on. As an example, at some point of our training in Israel, we had in-depth teachings on the irrigation principles taught by specialty instructors from ‘Netafim’ that is the world chief in irrigation equipment. We had courses on different topics of agriculture such as: international standards, agricultural economics &enterprise, task coaching, pre-harvesting contemporary fruits and vegetables, vegetable crops in greenhouses and nurseries, identifying damage to plant life and their solutions included pest control and other plant protection methods. In Ivory Coast, exercise and gadget are lacking. A few techniques nevertheless need to be popularized. At AgroStudies, there are lot cutting-edge emphasis on practice.  with at some point modern day theoretical guides and 5 days latest realistic classes. I returned to Ivory Coast and two months later the coronavirus outbreak broke out in the area. I was stuck in Abidjan. However the company green control called me to be its plant production manager.

I left on July 2020 in Yamoussoukro to green control where I stayed till November 2020. I left the company because I had gained enough experience within the field and desired to pursue my goal. then I applied to ‘Anader’, the countrywide Rural development support corporation which is the agricultural leader in Ivory Coast. ‘Anader’ employed me and assigned to the regional Director of Western Ivory Coast. Then I was sent to the area of Duekoue wherein I’m presently located: I’m a rural development officer, always in contact with the producers of coffee, cocoa, rice and market gardening, I’m doing programs guide and train the planters with different farming techniques.”
